The applicant company is checked against the SSM registry and its authorised signatories are verified.
Step 2: Kenal Document
Bank statements and supporting documents are structured and checked for tampering.
Step 3: Kenal Grant
Every claimed invoice and receipt is checked against the approved budget and milestones before the payout is approved.
Step 4: Kenal Stamps
The grant agreement is assessed for duty, filed with LHDN and the certificate kept on record.
Each ringgit disbursed traces back to an approved milestone and the evidence behind it.

Built for your regulator
Public money is audited. We build every step so the auditor can follow it.
- Audit and disbursement governance
- Every claim, check, approval and payout recorded against the programme budget, so each disbursement can be traced to its evidence.
- LHDN stamping (Stamp Act 1949)
- Grant and funding agreements assessed and stamped through LHDN self-assessment, with the certificate kept against each award.
- AML/CFT screening of recipients
- Funded companies and their signatories screened against AML, PEP and sanctions lists before an award.
We describe what we build to. Approval of your programme rests with you and your regulator. Read more on security at Kenal.
Questions we hear
How does Kenal Grant check claims before a payout?
Kenal Grant checks every claimed invoice and receipt against the approved budget and milestones before a payout is approved. Recipients submit claims through a guided portal, and each item is read, matched to a budget line and flagged if it falls outside the award. Officers review the flags, approve or return the claim, and every decision is recorded for audit.
What does Kenal Automate do for government submissions?
Kenal Automate is a browser-extension AI agent that reads source documents and fills and submits forms on government portals that have no API. Your staff stay in control and review before submission, while the agent does the keying. It is live for customs declarations and expanding to court e-filing, and delivers four times the admin productivity per staff member.
Can agencies verify the companies they fund?
Yes. Kenal Business checks an applicant company against the SSM registry, verifies each authorised signatory with Kenal eKYC, audits the premises through a short geotagged video walkthrough recorded in the app and screens the company against AML, PEP and sanctions lists. Agencies get the same evidence a bank would collect, before an award is made and without sending officers on site visits.
