Kenal Transaction portfolio overview splitting accounts into salaried, gig and self-employed, and hidden entrepreneur segments, with KPI cards and a monthly credits versus debits chart

What Kenal Transaction is

Kenal Transaction is a transaction intelligence service that classifies every transaction by action, payment rail and counterparty and turns the history into behaviour and credit signals.

Your transaction history already says who earns steadily, who is growing and who is trading from a personal account. Kenal Transaction makes it readable, so business banking, credit and risk teams can find the customers worth a call and the accounts worth a second look.

How it works

From raw transactions to a ranked list of who to call.

  1. Classify every transaction

Each transaction is labelled by action, Malaysian payment rail and counterparty, with no per-bank rules. Accounts are then grouped into segments such as salaried, gig and self-employed, and hidden entrepreneurs.
Detail of Kenal Transaction behaviour segments: salaried, gig and self-employed, hidden entrepreneurs and needs review, with account counts, average monthly credit, deposit consistency and the opportunity for each
  2. Rank who to grow and who to keep

Entrepreneurs are ranked by business readiness, with a detected persona, average monthly credit, growth trend and a next best action such as an SME account or a working-capital line.

  3. See why, account by account

Open any account for the reasoning: income sources, deposit stability, the monthly trend and the counterparties behind the classification. Evidence a director can read, not a black-box score.

Questions buyers ask

What does Kenal Transaction do with our transaction data?

Kenal Transaction labels every transaction by action, payment rail and counterparty, then reads behaviour from the whole history. It shows which customers earn regular income, which run a business from a personal account, how stable their deposits are and where risk is building. Your teams get segments, signals and plain-language reasons they can act on, not a black-box score.

How does it find businesses hiding in personal accounts?

Kenal Transaction recognises the patterns of business activity inside individual current and savings accounts. Many customer payments, marketplace and delivery-platform payouts, supplier outflows and no regular salary point to a trader, seller or driver. Each account gets a persona such as online seller or F&B owner, a readiness ranking and a suggested next best action for your relationship managers.

Does Kenal Transaction need rules for each bank?

No, Kenal Transaction classifies transactions without per-bank rules. It recognises Malaysian payment rails such as DuitNow, FPX, JomPAY, IBFT, GIRO and card payments from the transaction descriptions and normalises the counterparty while keeping the raw value. The same engine works on your core-banking data or on statements read by Kenal Document.

Which credit and risk signals does it produce?

Kenal Transaction produces signals on income, stability and integrity. They include salary and income regularity, balance volatility, cash-flow velocity and predictable outflows, plus warnings for padded income, circular flows between a person's own accounts and unusual large payments to new counterparties that can indicate a scam victim. Each signal comes with the reasoning behind it.

Does Kenal Transaction make lending decisions for us?

No, Kenal Transaction is decision support, and your credit policy stays in charge. It gives underwriters, relationship managers and risk teams evidence they can read and explain: segments, metrics, flags and the transactions behind them. You decide how the signals feed your scorecards, approvals and outreach, and every recommendation can be traced back to the data.

How do we get our data into Kenal Transaction?

Banks can run Kenal Transaction in batch over their own core-banking extracts, such as customer profiles, transactions and monthly balances. Lenders that collect statements from applicants can send them through Kenal Document and receive the analysis on the same API. It can be deployed in your own cloud or on-premise, so account data stays inside your environment.
